Sensory Backpacks for Houston Museum of Natural Science Project Presented April 29, 2017The Museum of Natural Science is the beneficiary for my project. I have a diagnosis of Asperger’s, it is often hard for me to be comfortable in places such as the Houston Museum of Natural Science; the environment there easily overloads my senses. This is true for other children like me. For my Eagle Scout Project, I made 20 “Sensory Backpacks” for the Museum to loan to individuals with similar disabilities as I have. The Sensory Backpacks included ear defenders, sunglasses, and the addition of a Museum map. The Sensory Backpack also includes a stress ball, to keep in your hands while visiting the Museum. |
